A new Biodiversity Action Plan is being prepared for County Tipperary in partnership with the Heritage Council. The Plan will set out Tipperary County Council’s statement of intent in relation to biodiversity of the County.
It will include a number of actions and objectives to enhance biodiversity conservation along with raising awareness of biodiversity in partnership with local communities over the next five years.
The Council invite you to get involved and help shape the content of the County Tipperary Biodiversity Action Plan. We want to hear your views on what aspects of biodiversity you want to see celebrated and conserved in the plan and what issues are important to you. To stimulate interest and encourage public participation at this stage in the plan process, a discussion paper has been prepared which sets out the key biodiversity issues for Tipperary.
It is intended that the paper will encourage discussion and involvement from the public in the preparation of the Tipperary Biodiversity Action Plan.
The discussion paper will be available for inspection from Thursday the 15th of August 2024.
Submissions or observations with respect to the discussion Papers or content of the Biodiversity Action Plan may be made no later than 4pm on the Thursday the 26th of September 2024. All submissions should include your name, contact address and where relevant, details of any organisation or community group, which you represent.
Submissions should be in ONE medium only i.e. online or hard copy and made as follows:

Observations or submissions received in relation to the discussion paper will be taken into consideration in the making of the Draft County Tipperary Action Biodiversity Plan.
