NOTICE OF THE CONFIRMATION BY TIPPERARY COUNTY COUNCIL OF A COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER MADE FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE HOUSING ACT, 1966, AS RESPECTS ALL OR PART OF THE LAND TO WHICH THE COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER RELATES TO BE PUBLISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 78(1) OF THE SAID ACT, AS AMENDED BY THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACT 2000, AS AMENDED

COMPULSORY ACQUISITION OF LAND

TIPPERARY COUNTY COUNCIL has, on the 31st day of January, 2024, made a confirmation order confirming, without modification, the above-named compulsory purchase order as respects the land described in the Schedule hereto.  The said order, as so confirmed, authorises Tipperary County Council to acquire the said land compulsorily for the purposes of the Housing Act, 1966, for the Tipperary Town Closed Landfill Remediation Scheme.  The Order, as confirmed, will become operative three weeks from the date of publication of this notice.  

A copy of the order as so confirmed and of the maps referred to in it may be viewed at all reasonable hours (9:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, and excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) from Thursday 11th April 2024 until Monday 10th June 2024, inclusive, at:

•  Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Emmet Street, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, E91 N512, and

•  Tipperary-Cashel-Cahir Municipal District, Rosanna Road, Tipperary, Co. Tipperary, E34 WD51.

A copy of the order may also be inspected here as attached.

An application for judicial review of the decision of Tipperary County Council under Order 84 of the Rules of the Superior Courts (S.I. No. 15 of 1986) may be made to the High Court within eight weeks of the date of publication of this Notice in accordance with Section 50 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000, as amended.

Owners, lessees and occupiers of the land described in the Schedule will receive individual written notice.
