Tipperary Cultural Companions

Cultural Companions is an Age and Opportunity Initiative designed to link older people interested in arts and culture through a network so that they can attend events together as a group.

Events include Concerts, Films, Theatre, Plays, Musicals, Historical Talks and Exhibitions.

 

A new social network for Tipperary’s Older Citizens interested in meeting new people, getting out more, enjoying arts, culture and volunteering: Many of us would probably go to a lot more plays, films, shows, concerts, exhibitions, or other events if we had someone to go with. There is a thriving social and arts scene out there to be enjoyed if only we had someone with the knowhow, the transport or the shared interest to get us going. That’s where cultural companions comes in.

 

Tipperary Cultural Companions aims to provide increased opportunities for older people to engage with Ireland’s vibrant arts and cultural scene.

The council has a Privacy Statement which is a general document about how we approach data protection as an organisation and is available on the council’s website:   or on request from Community & Social Inclusion on 0761 06 6000 .  Information is also provided in relation to Tipperary Cultural Companions in the enclosed Privacy Notice which you are advised to read. Your personal details will be held on a protected confidential Tipperary Cultural Companions database. Information will not be disclosed to external third parties.  We will hold your personal data on file for as long as you are a member of Tipperary Cultural Companions.  Members’ data is updated every year once membership has been renewed.  Once a person opts out of membership the data will be deleted from the database and the membership form shredded six months after opting out.
