The Corporate Plan is the Council’s strategic framework for future action over the next 5 years and will be the central component of the Council’s business architecture, linking key elements such as policy, organisation, operational activity, governance, and performance management and acting as the driver for economic development, social inclusiveness and environmental sustainability within the county of Tipperary.
The plan which will be finalised over the next 2 months will outline the Council’s priorities for the next 5 years. Those priorities will be based on local needs, our current functions, and other factors such as Government policy, changes in legislation, and the resources that are available. The work of the Council begins and ends with developing and enhancing our county so that our people have the best possible place to live, work, and visit.
To assist in this process, an online survey was carried out during July & August 2024 which sought feedback on how citizens, viewed the quality of service currently being delivered by Tipperary County Council and their views on what they consider are the challenges and key priorities for Tipperary County Council over the next five years. The online survey was advertised on the Council’s website. Notification of the survey was also circulated to members of staff, elected members, municipal district offices, and the Public Participation Network. A total of 83 submissions were received and the comments and observations have been considered in the drafting of this Draft Corporate Plan Framework which sets out the key strategy statements of the Council such as its Core Values, Vision & Mission Statement, Corporate Goals, and Strategic Objectives. This framework sets out a clear statement for the kind of Tipperary we want to see in the future and what we will do as the County Council, together with all stakeholders, to deliver that vision.
