Proposed Additions to the Record of Protected Structures in the Tipperary County Development Plan 2022-2028

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ADDITIONS TO THE RECORD OF PROTECTED STRUCTURES IN THE TIPPERARY COUNTY DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2022-2028

SECTIONS 54 AND 55 OF THE PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT ACT 2000 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 54 and 55 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) that Tipperary County Council proposes additions to the Record of Protected Structures (RPS) in the Tipperary County Development Plan 2022-2028.

The proposed additions were previously contained in the Record of Protected Structures in the:

  • Clonmel and Environs Development Plan 2013;
  • Nenagh Town and Environs Development Plan 2013; and
  • the Thurles and Environs Development Plan 2009

Following the making of the new Local Area Plans for Clonmel, Nenagh and Thurles, these structures will now be included on the Record of Protected Structures for the Tipperary County Development Plan 2022-2028. This will ensure that the Protected Structure status of each structure within the previous Clonmel, Nenagh and Thurles Town Development Plans is maintained.

In addition, other structures within these towns are proposed to be added to the Record of Protected Structures for the Tipperary County Development Plan 2022-2028.

Some of the proposed additions to the Record of Protected Structures are on foot of a Ministerial recommendation.

A list and the particulars of the proposed additions to the Record of Protected Structures is provided below.
