Welcome to the public consultation process for the design and development of a Signage Strategy and Public Realm Project for Cashel Town Centre.

We want to work with the local community to develop a truly memorable welcome for visitors, inspiring them to explore more of the town and surrounding countryside, and encourage everyone to use and enjoy Cashel Town more often and for longer. This exciting initiative will ensure Cashel Town fully delivers on its potential as an iconic visitor destination of international standing.

Please review the consultation boards by clicking the link opposite under Documentation, and click Have Your Say beneath this to answer some quick questions.

Public Realm is the space between buildings that is publicly accessible to everyone, including streets, squares, lanes, parks and open spaces. It belongs to everyone and this is an opportunity for you to tell us how you want Cashel’s Main Street to function in the future and how you would like to see it being used. A Signage Strategy guides how visitors and local people are orientated and move around, but it can also reassure and reinforce the character of a place by revealing what is unique, while making thematic and walkable connections.

This project is the result of the Fáilte Ireland and Tipperary County Council Cashel Town Plan, as well as the Tipperary Transforming Tourism Product Development Plan (2020-2030), each of which aim to place Cashel as a successful destination town. This pre-planning consultation will close on Friday 10th of September so please be sure to have your say on this exciting project for Cashel.
