The development will consist of the construction of a walking path from The Soloheadbeg Memorial to Limerick Junction and the N24 at Tipperary Racecourse, over a distance of 2715m. The proposed walking path will be 3m in width and will comprise a base of granular material with a sealed surface of Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA), with the exception of a 200mm long recycled plastic boardwalk section from Chainage 535 to Chainage 735.
Tipperary County Council is preparing a new Local Area Plan for Tipperary Town, which will set out the land use strategy for the town to ensure the town can grow, support employment and homes and can do so sustainably and successfully.
