Notice is hereby given that Tipperary Cahir Cashel Municipal District in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 131A of the Local Government Acts 1925 to 2014, Section 36 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994 as amended, and by Section 101 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961, as amended, proposes to make the Church Street Car Park Bye-Laws 2025 (the Draft 2025 Parking Bye-Laws) for the regulation and control of parking in respect of Church Street Car Park, Cahir, Co Tipperary.

The development will consist of the construction of a walking path from The Soloheadbeg Memorial to Limerick Junction and the N24 at Tipperary Racecourse, over a distance of 2715m. The proposed walking path will be 3m in width and will comprise a base of granular material with a sealed surface of Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA), with the exception of a 200mm long recycled plastic boardwalk section from Chainage 535 to Chainage 735.

Tipperary Town Local Area Plan 2025-2031

Tipperary County Council is preparing a new Local Area Plan for Tipperary Town, which will set out the land use strategy for the town to ensure the town can grow, support employment and homes and can do so sustainably and successfully.

The Council is inviting submissions from the public to identify priorities and help shape the future development of the town. This stage represents the ‘issues’ stage before a draft of the Local Area Plan is published. An Issues Paper has been produced to help inform submissions and sets out:
